Barry M's pivotal launch this Spring is their Speedy Quick Dry range of nail paints. These 9 pastel coloured polishes have been designed to dry quickly without compromising the shine of a longer drying polish.
As ever Barry M have themed the lids and names of this 9 piece around the collection title. I adore the checkered lids and clever formula one style names. The colours, as far removed from car racing as can be are gorgeous for this time of year. On a side note wouldn't it be much more enjoyable to watch racing if the cars were painted in these gorgeous pastel colours?
Yes these polishes dry quickly, I timed 70 secs for a thin coat to dry which is fab. Should you be hasty and apply before it is dry you'll drag the previous coat and will need to start over ... not so speedy. The formula on these is great with most needing 3 coats, however considering the drying time, it wasn't a problem for me. One word of cuction, when applying a couple of these colours I found I ended up with a few bubbles on the nail, so be prepared to pop these before it dries.
Full Throttle is a bright mango sorbet colour. It's so warming that I am sure this will be a big favourite of mine come the summer. I used 3 coats and Plumpy topcoat for these pictures.
Eat My Dust is an icy blue. This colour is so cold, but beautiful. I used 3 coats, plus topcoat for the pictures.
Road Rage is best described as a muted mint. It's so pretty on and I can see this being a hit on release. Again it was good to go in 3 coats and I applied Plumpy to give it extra shine.
In A Heart Beat is a red toned coral. I love these types of shades and again, am sure this will be a colour I'll wear right through summer. I used 3 coats plus Plumpy.
Pole Position is a bright, pastel, spring green colour that touches on neon. I love these types of green and am so pleased Barry M have released something like this as I felt it was missing from their range. I used 3 coats and topcoat.
Pit Stop is a lovely pastel grey. I only needed 2 coats of this and I was actually surprised at how much I loved this colour. It's sophisticated and warming, I can see it being on the nails of many office workers this year.
Stop The Clock is a pale yellow that I think looks a lot like melted vanilla ice cream. It's a lot brighter out of the bottle and on the nail. I used 3 coats and topcoat for the pictures.
Kiss Me Quick is a bright baby pink. Barry M do all colours so well but I am always a fan of their pinks. I used 3 coats plus Plumpy for the pics.
These Speedy Quick Dry nail paints will be released on the 11th February in Superdrug and the 18th February in Boots for £3.99 each. I can see these racing off the shelves (sorry, I had to include at least one pun in this post)! You can also buy them after these dates on Barry M.com.
Will you be buying any? Which is your fave colour so far?

Lap Of Honour was the colour that first caught my eye at the launch. I'd say this colour is mauve and it does lean grey, but it's unmistakably gorgeous. Like Pit Stop I only needed 2 coats and added Plumpy for extra shine.

Wow, what a collection. I am always so excited to see what Barry M bring out and they have not disappointed this spring. I wasn't sure they could top last year but they are already well on they way to doing that.
